Your Journey Begins in the Sky!

Launched in Fall 2024, this dynamic aviation program is designed to introduce students to the fast-growing world of aviation and unmanned aircraft systems (UAS). Serving as a foundation for advanced aviation training, this course prepares students for high-demand careers in an exciting and rapidly evolving industry.

Year One Students:
During the first year, students focus on foundational aviation knowledge with an emphasis on FAA CFR Part 48 and Part 107 regulations. The primary goal is for students to earn their FAA Part 107 Small Unmanned Aircraft Systems (sUAS) Commercial License Certification. In order to achieve this, students build a strong foundation in FAA Part 107 regulations, which govern commercial drone operations. Coursework covers certification requirements, operating limitations, airspace regulations, safety procedures, and industry best practices. By the end of the first year, students will be fully prepared to take the FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certification exam and begin operating drones commercially.

Year Two Students:
In the second year, students advance into Private Pilot Ground School. Using our state-of-the-art Redbird flight simulator, students can log up to 20 hours of flight training alongside an FAA Certified Flight Instructor (CFI). Students elevate their skills through advanced flight simulation training, in-depth preparation for remote pilot licensing, and extensive hands-on drone flight experience to build both confidence and logged flight hours. The program also incorporates Core Plus curriculum components and provides students the opportunity to earn their OSHA 10 certification, adding valuable workplace safety credentials to their portfolio.

Whether students plan to pursue careers in aviation, drone technology, aerial photography, agriculture, engineering, public safety, or related industries, this program equips them with the knowledge, certifications, and practical experience needed to launch their future. Soar toward a brighter future in aviation.
