CBTECH Fall Advisory Board Banquet
Last Thursday, CBTECH proudly hosted the annual Fall Advisory Board Banquet, bringing together industry professionals, educators, and students for an evening of connection and collaboration.
Each program invited its Advisory Board members, comprised of local industry experts who provide valuable guidance to ensure our programs align with current workforce standards.
Our talented Culinary Arts students and instructors catered the event, serving over 120 guests with a heartwarming menu inspired by comfort foods and nostalgic dishes reminiscent of Grandma’s kitchen.
Guests enjoyed favorites such as chicken and dumplings, chicken mole with Mexican rice and handmade tortillas, Mississippi pot roast, Sunday sauce and meatballs, gouda & caramelized onion mashed potatoes, and cabbage salad. Dessert offerings included apple and peach pies, date cookies, mini conchas, medovik, and streusel.
Adding to the evening’s charm, several community volunteers showcased traditional “grandma” activities such as sewing, knitting, flower arranging, tortilla making, and cookie sharing, creating a warm and nostalgic atmosphere.
During the banquet, we proudly recognized Michael Minor, Grant Transit Authority, Okanogan Specialty Fruit, Samaritan Healthcare, The City of Moses Lake Fire Department, and Sila Nanotechnologies for their continued support and commitment to CBTECH students.
Following dinner, each program held breakout sessions with their advisory boards to review industry standards and discuss strategies to ensure students are career-ready upon graduation.
The evening was a tremendous success — a true celebration of partnership, learning, and community. Visit our CBTECH Facebook page to view photos of that night.
