Director's Message

CBTECH has many activities to complete before the end of the year. March has been focused on preparing students for the World of Work, specifically with resume writing and Mock Interviews. We had guest speakers from Group14 and Sabey Electric talking about industry expectations at work and interviewing. We run all of our 168 seniors through an interview with a related industry representative. Students practiced in their programs on the most common interview questions, shaking hands, eye contact and answering in complete sentences. April continues the training with our Manners Meal where each student is taught table manners so that they can be prepared if lunch/dinner is part of their interview. Forging ahead to mold great employees to build the future of Grant County!

CBTECH tiene muchas actividades que completar antes de fin de año. Marzo se ha centrado en preparar a los estudiantes para el mundo laboral, específicamente con la redacción de currículums y entrevistas simuladas. Tuvimos oradores invitados del Grupo14 y Sabey Electric que hablaron sobre las expectativas de la industria en el trabajo y las entrevistas. Realizamos una entrevista a nuestros 168 estudiantes en el grado 12 con un representante de la industria relacionada. Los estudiantes practicaron en sus programas las preguntas más comunes de las entrevistas, cómo hacer un apretón de manos adecuado, hacer contacto visual y responder con oraciones completas. Abril continúa la capacitación con nuestra Comida de Modales donde a cada estudiante se le enseñan modales en la mesa para que puedan estar preparados si el almuerzo o la cena son parte de su entrevista. ¡Avanzando para formar excelentes empleados para construir el futuro de Grant County!
